The French pharmaceutical company Sanofi is relocating its Berlin headquarters from Potsdamer Platz to a new four-story building in Lützowstraße, Berlin-Kreuzberg.
For its new space, Sanofi wanted areas designed for versatility - for more individuality, flexibility and exchange. Bright colors and plenty of space for the Sanofi community support the team in the transition to New Work.
The lighting concept offers a mixture of restrained basic lighting and playful accents, and at the same time blends harmoniously with the interior design.
The flagship of the new office space is the entrance area, which opens up through the breakthrough from the first floor to the second floor, making the space spacious, prestigious and inviting. The lighting responds with large ceiling lights, playfully arranged to resemble skylights, underscoring the gesture of the architecture.
A wide staircase in sunny yellow extends generously across the lobby and connects the public area on the first floor with the work area on the second floor. The deep seating steps and staircase function as a terraced meeting area. The area thus becomes a dynamic meeting place where the entire team gathers, guests are welcomed or short meetings are held.
The circulation is accompanied by a continuous-row lighting system, suspended or recessed depending on the ceiling situation, and consists of diffuse general lighting and accent lighting in the form of spotlights or pendant luminaires.
The common areas in different colors of pigeon blue, apple green and coral are framed on all floors by large filigree round tube profile luminaires as a recurring element.
In the lounge and casual meeting area, the large ceiling luminaires are again used, as well as flat floor luminaires.
The cafeteria ceiling is adorned by many individual pendant luminaires in bright colors, which are reversed on the adjacent terrace as small colorful battery-powered table luminaires.
