The lighting scheme for a block of apartments transforms a series of passageways into an inviting space to call home.
Navigation and movement were key lighting concepts that were integrated within the existing design, helping to create a clearly legible circulation route within the apartment complex. Large vertical lighting panels that surround the doors act not only as a navigational cues along the circulation route, but provide a pleasant atmosphere for residents as they are bathed in the warm light before entering their home. Linear lights on the ceiling help to accentuate movement within the space with various sizes and patterns creating a dynamic experience for residents as they move between apartment blocks. Thorough testing of the lighting panels through scale models and mock up trials alongside installation of the final luminaries gave JBN greater quality control over the whole project to deliver the best possible outcome.
