The lighting concept is based on several levels: functional, decorative and interior design lighting. The functional lighting is based on a luminaire network that is designed differently on each floor. It provides both direct, diffuse light and spotlights for flexible illumination. The geometric arrangement is complemented by pendant luminaires that create additional structure.
The room-designing light level relies on indirect light or grazing light to emphasise materials such as clay walls and fabrics. In some areas, the light itself becomes a visible object and is incorporated into the design, creating an interplay of material, light and form.
Flexibility takes centre stage in the event areas. Motorised spotlights adjust the light intensity and direction. An intelligent control system allows different lighting moods and scenarios.
In the entrance area, a flexible cable system emphasises the architectural features and adapts to changing uses.
Special challenges, such as the historic ceiling construction and the low ceiling height, were overcome by creative lighting solutions that enabled special solutions for ceiling installation.
