The fundamental lighting concept idea lies in the architectural principle of perceiving interior and exterior spaces as extensions of one another. The boundary between inside and outside disappears while the user is surprised by an extraordinary atmospheric space. The exterior exists as interior.

The first step in translating such a concept into a lighting scheme was to scale up the interior lights to fit the urban scale. Furthermore, the quality and accentuation of light are of importance to create a play of light as well as darker areas.
