The interaction between light and sound was explored in this installation in the Martini church in Siegen.

A space-defining cube was installed as a floating element in the church, representing the polar opposites of mass and void. The cube carves out a slice of the voluminous church space and is filled with sounds and light, leaving the remaining emptiness to be utilised as a resonance chamber. The carefully choreographed mixture of light and sound shed “new light” on this venerable cathedral in Siegen.
